Sometimes,
No matter what you say,
No matter what you do,
You’ll always turn out to be the ruthless one.
No matter how hard you try to
Explain how you feel,
Even if you choose your words wisely,
People will always hear what they want to hear
And they will always misunderstand you.
No matter how long you try to
Explain the heartache and hurt
You’ve been through,
How you’re trying to endure your “new” lifestyle.
People will never understand.
Sometimes,
It’s because people don’t want to understand,
Can’t see the hurt you’re going through because you put up a really convincing nonchalant attitude,
Or it’s simply because they don’t want to believe what you’re going through and how you feel.
So, why try in the first place?
Why care what other people think?
Why worry when no one else does?
When did wanting to be alone become offensive?
When did trying to cope with something in your own way be distasteful?
Who murdered empathy and replaced it with apathy?
